Ballarat's Great Women nomination form

Amongst Ballarat’s Finest profiles the stories of 113 local women and their contribution to Ballarat. The women were nominated by their own community as women they believe should be recognised for their civic and political contribution to Ballarat. Relatively few of these stories are recorded in any other form, due largely to the women’s modest and humble nature, this book seeks to recognise them. "The great women we know of don’t usually see themselves as extraordinary, they often just do what they think is the right thing to do" said Ms Patty Kinnersly, WHG CEO.

Amongst Ballarat’s Finest was launched at the Zonta International Women’s Day Dinner Thursday 6 March 2008.

Women's Health Grampians will continue to celebrate the contribution of women through an ongoing nomination process and celebrating these nominations annually.
